

Analyze charts according to hospital standards, and to achieve The Joint Commission/HFAP standards. Assembles charts according to hospital standards. Demonstrate proper creation of patient’s medical records. Final assembly, completion of medical records, keeping in consistent order, current, divided as needed. May assist the patient care team in non-clinical activities of daily living, as directed. Process death records, assist with funeral home notification, and body release as indicated. File complete and accurate registers with the County Clerk’s Office. Interview and act as a resource to patients and families to complete accurate birth certificates and related documents according to regulatory time frames including maintaining and downloading data to MDPH. Perform basic registration and admit patients to the unit. Act as a unit receptionist, information agent for patients, nursing staff, physicians, allied services, and visitors ensure that information sharing of unit operations is maintained communicate concerns to the management team for problem solving. Coordinate communications for the entire unit answers telephone, handles mail, fax, pager communications to-from unit in a friendly, courteous, accurate manner. Maintain an effective and quality interpersonal relationships with patients, family members, physicians, visitors, co-workers, and other center members.
